For years cries at the Emirates have fallen on deaf years as they call out for a prolific striker. The line being led by Oliver Giroud and Theo Walcott just simply hasn't been good enough for a team that before this past season, had found themselves in the Champions League every season since 1998. Alexis Sanchez added some flair to the attack but even he is more suited as a winger rather than a clear cut #9. But with a splash of the cash, the London based Gunners have their man to fire them back into the Champions League.

Enter Alexandre Lacazette. The 26 year old Frenchman has been lighting the French league on fire since his introduction into the Lyon squad in 2010. He has banged in 129 goals in 275 appearances for Lyon and in the 2014-2015 season, Lacazette took home the honor of top scorer with 27 goals. He has long been linked with a move away from France, and this summer it finally came to fruition when Arsenal and Lyon agreed to a club record fee of €53 million for the strikers' services.

Even without Lacazette touching the field in the Premier League, it already feels as if Arsenal have a true bargain on their hands. €53 million in today's heavily inflated market, in which seemingly average players are €30 million plus, is an absolute steal for a player with this track record and the qualities he'll be bringing to north London. It definitely makes you wonder how some other top premier league squads missed out on such a deal.

Lacazette brings more than just a proven goal scorer to the Emirates. He adds credibility to a squad desperately lacking it. Arsenal's attack has seemed toothless so often in the past few seasons, having loads of players with flair that can create, but very few that actually have that finishing product. More so than just his finishing in the 18 yard box, Lacazette injects true pace into their attack. Mesut Ozil, Granit Xhaka and Aaron Ramsey should all be salivating at their possible assist numbers with the French star leading the line.

Assuming that Alexis Sanchez is headed for greener pastures whether that be in England or abroad, Arsenal's projected attacking options may include Theo Walcott, Mesut Ozil, Danny Welback, Oliver Giroud and Alex Oxlade-Chamberline with Alexandre Lacazette spearheading the attack. For €53 million, you won't see many better deals this summer, and Arsenal got their hit man they so desperately needed.
